The Toyota FT-86 Concept is one sports machine that actually look well sculpted to excite the senses of motor heads after all the safe & boring vehicles Toyota has been making lately. This Toyota actually possesses a heart of a Subaru. Yes you guess it right, it is powered by Subaru's Boxter engine.& it will most probably be the 2 liter unit 4 cycliner unit that will drive the rear wheels via a 6 speed transmission. The Toyota FT-86 is actually 4,160mm in length, a 1,760mm wide and a 1,260mm tall , with a 2 + 2 seating scheme. The FT-86 was penned in Toyota's European Design Studion (ED2) in Nice France and it does look strikingly similar to the the Toyota FT-HS hybrid concept shown in the 2007 Detroit Motor show. Lets hope the production version stays true to the concept & we shall toast to the worthy successor of the Toyota AE86.
