2010 Citroen C5 Updates
Citroen introduced two new greener engines into its C5 range to bring them into line with Euro V specifications. The 2.0HDi 16V 119kW diesel will replace the existing 2.0- and 2.2-litre diesels. Aussies get the new 340Nm engine in the Comfort and Exclusive models, meaning a 14 per cent power increase and around three per cent better fuel efficiency. This reduces the Combined figures for the sedan and wagon to 6.8 and 6.9 litres/100km respectively, while CO2 emissions are both down to 179g/km.
The second engine is a 1.6-litre 16V 115kW petrol engine co-developed with BMW to replace the old 2.0-litre. Ppwer is boosted by eight per cent with torque now peaking at 240Nm mated with a six-speed manual gearbox.Combined fuel use is down by a solid 18.5 per cent while CO2 has also been reduced by 16 per cent to 167g/km.
There are some minor tweaks done to the exterior while the entertainment system is updated with standard Bluetooth and USB connectivity on Exclusive models.
