AutoAlert : New Chevy Spark Debuting In Frankfurt

Autoalert Chevrolet Spark

The new Chevy Spark will make its appearance in Deutchland this coming September for The Frankfurt Motor show. This mini car made famous by Transformers 2 will be available in most parts of Europe by the beginning of 2010 will initially be offered with 2 choice of newly developed powerplant which is the 1.0 liter & 1.2 liter all aluminium petrol engine. For the moment, both power are channeled to the front wheels via 5 speed manual gearbox with the 1.2 liter variant set to make the 0-100 km/h sprint in 12.4 seconds while returning a combined fuel consumption of under 5.0lt/100 km (47+ mpg US). GM should be offering the automatic transmission variant later judging by the interior shots below. The US market will be ushering this baby GM in first half of 2011. I foresee this model following the footsteps of the Chevy Cruze that will help GM improve its financial status if GM decides to throw in a generous amount of standard kit. I personally like the aggressive front end with its over sized Chevy grill and Headlamp which seems to conjure up an athletic feeling. Rival makes will be the Nissan Micra, Hyundai i10, Kia Picanto & Daihatsu Mira.

AutoAlert Kia Cee'd pictures
The successful European Kia Cee'd set to get even better judging by the photos available. The Hatchback was caught doing its rounds at Nurburgring Circuit. From the pictures given one can deduce that the facelifted Cee'd will receive a new set of Bumper with redesign front headlights with projector lamps. The Schreyer Grille will also make a debut in Cee'd line-up too. Expect changes to the rear that encompasses extensive use of LED on the break & indicator lamp along with tweaks to the back bumper.

Rumors had it that Kia is commissioning Lotus and Porche to improve the Cee'd's ride & handling. This will definitely result in better steering response & driving comfort. Powering this car will be a 170hp 1.6 turbo gasoline engine mated to a 6 speed dual-clutch auto box that will promise greater grunt while remaining frugal on the fuel consumption. The ECO -Driving Guide will further help drivers improve their mileage by displaying vital info on the LCD mounted below the speedometer. The interior also sport quite a number of improvements like the mood illumination lighting seen in the Forte. The steering wheel sports s new and most importantly original design with the standard controls available on both side of the wheel.

Since Peter Schreyer took over as chief designer of Kia, the interior of new Kia has evolved towards being more sports orientated with strong hints of Audi's design language. The gearshift looks more up market then the previous kia models and again looks very similar to Audi's. The highlight of the interior got to be the availability of 6.5 inch WVGA touchscreen LCD navigator integrated into the CD-player that will also play Mp3 and be able to connect to your mobile devices via bluetooth. 45 countries map will be available in the 8Gb space available in the unit claimed to be the best in its class.

The Cee'd will be making a grand appearance in the upcoming Frankfurt Motor show and will definitely propel Kia's sales and brand image forward in the European continent.
